A belated thank you to Marilyn for inviting Paddy
Clarke to come and speak to us a few bookclubs ago. The ultra dynamic Paddy has been Alex Boraine’s assistant for many, many years, so she has lived
very actively through our recent history, first in Parliament, then in Idasa (
where Marilyn met her about 25 years ago), then the TRC, then the Institute for Justice
and Transition and finally she has just edited Alex’s new book, What’s gone wrong? On the brink of a failed state. We think that she could probably write a much more interesting book than her boss ever could. Come on Paddy!
